At Tower View Media, we understand that hiring a video production company can be a daunting task, especially if it's your first time. You may have heard horror stories about overcharging, low-quality work, or poor communication. That's why we want to provide a comprehensive overview of our costings and what you can expect from us so that you can have a clear understanding of the investment you'll be making and the value you'll be receiving.
We're going to assume that you are already aware of video's benefits after our recent blog post about how video is the king of social media. Video is an incredibly powerful medium for telling stories, conveying information, and creating emotional connections and it takes skill, creativity, and technical expertise to do it right. The process flows through a number of stages, from planning and scripting, to filming and editing. Each stage requires its own set of skills and equipment, and each stage is crucial to the overall success of the project.
At Tower View Media, we offer support and services for the full range of production so you can be assured that every stage is handled with the utmost care, cohesion, and professionalism.
Before a camera is touched, our team provides the full pre-production experience. The role of this stage varies depending on your needs. For example, to dissect a complicated research project on framework propositions for government environmental policies into an understandable short video animation for a wider audience, the team had to first study the research itself and work closely with the client to do service to the research, whilst producing scripts that an average viewer could understand. In other cases, such as a recent project with a global food merchandiser, we had to seek, contact and recce filming locations based on a set of parameters. As you can tell, some projects are more demanding that others, but whatever the size of your project, our prices for pre-production tasks are charged per hour, ranging between £25 p/h to £100 p/h, depending on the complexity of the needs of your project.
Moving onto production, let's look at one of the key crew members we offer for all productions. Our self-shooting directors are one-man bands who can handle everything on set, from directing, to filming, to executing the brief...or all of those at once! They are highly experienced and use top-level, cinema production equipment to ensure that the footage is of the highest quality. All of our rates include the gear necessary for your individual shoot and are charged per day. Based on the complexity and scale of your project, this service is priced between £450 - £650 for an 8-hour day, which is a competitive rate for the level of expertise and equipment provided.
If you require additional support on set, we also offer a production assistant service. Our production assistants are highly skilled and can perform a range of tasks, from audio recording to lighting, to talent liaison. We often suggest a production assistant for shoots with a lot of moving parts, or, shoots where the content is technical and the director needs production support so they can focus on the subject matter delivery. This service is priced at £450 for an 8-hour day, which includes any production equipment.
In addition to our core services, we also offer specialist crew such as lighting specialists, runners, drone operators, voiceover artists, and animation artists to bring your video production to the next level.
Drone videography has become increasingly popular in recent years, and for good reason. All of our drone operators are certified, highly skilled, and experienced, and they use top-of-the-line equipment to ensure that the footage is of the highest quality. Adding drone footage to your video can add a sense of grandeur and cinematic quality that will elevate your production to new heights.
The cost of bringing specialist crew on set is dependent on the scale of your vision, but we only work with trusted professionals who share our commitment to quality and professionalism. We believe that adding these services to your video production can truly make it stand out and leave a lasting impression on your audience.
Once filming is complete, the editing process begins. This is where the footage is transformed into a polished, professional video that meets your brief and exceeds your expectations. Our editing service includes a director and editor who will work closely with you to bring your vision to life. We provide professional colour grading, sound mastering, motion graphics, and delivery in any size, shape, and length. This service is priced at £450 for an 8-hour day. How much editing that can be achieved per day of work is completely dependent on the complexity of your project, however, as a baseline, we can edit 90-seconds of ready-to-deliver video content per day of editing.
We understand that cost is an important factor in any decision-making process, but we believe that the value we provide far outweighs the investment. We are dedicated to providing exceptional service, and we have a proven track record of delivering high-quality videos that exceed our clients' expectations.
To summarise, video production is a complex and challenging process that requires a high level of skill and expertise. At Tower View Media, we offer a range of services to ensure that every stage is handled with care and professionalism. Our costings are competitive for the level of expertise and equipment provided, and we are committed to delivering exceptional value to our clients. So if you're looking for a video production company that can help you tell your story, look no further than Tower View Media.
