Capturing National Pasty Week Launch
Location: UK
Industry: Food
Client & Product
Ginsters are a well-known brand, sold throughout supermarkets across the country. They were preparing for a new product launch at Selfridges Oxford Street and wanted a video created that would capture the events of the day, that could be edited and released that same evening, to mark the beginning of National Pasty Week.
Challenges
The main challenge for this project was shooting and editing with a same-day turnaround. Our client wanted to release the video later that evening on Social Media to hit the evening 'social rush hour'.
Job Done
We arrived early on-set and shot outside the building prior to meeting with the client. We were conscious of time throughout the day and due to our advanced planning, finished filming early. This gave us more time to work on the edit and ensure the video was ready for the client to release that evening.
Implemented Features
Planning and Pre-Production
We spoke frequently with the client prior to the day to ensure we were all aware of key elements that needed shooting, as well as establishing stylisation choices regarding the end result.
On the Day
We arrived early on-set to grab our external shots prior to meeting with our client. We filmed around the availability of the MD and Guest Chef, taking the opportunity during quiet periods to grab B-roll of the interior of Selfridges, the food hall and people purchasing the new products.
Video Creation
We finished filming earlier than expected, due to our advance planning. This allowed us more time to get the video edited on Premiere with music and graphics, ready for an evening release.
Social Media
The video was posted on the client's Instagram, Facebook and Twitter that evening, complimenting various media coverage that was also going live that day.
Media Coverage
The video we created for the client was released at the start of National Pasty Week, and aided in the media coverage the launch was given.
The pasties had a segment featured on ITV Westcountry News, alongside articles in the Times, Cornwall Live, Timeout Magazine and various shoutouts from Food Bloggers online.
Our video allowed the client to boost sales of their product and awareness of their launch, pushing more coverage on other platforms.
Outcome
Tower View Media filmed and edited the clients video for release that same day. The video racked up hundreds of views and interactions and aided in spreading awareness of the brands new product launch.
